We buy, process and freeze berries, fruits and vegetables for the international food industry throughout the year. Delivering everything from IQF to puree, and scarified, roller pitted, sliced, diced or rough cut raw materials.
We run industrial production in Poland, Chile and Denmark. By having flexible production units and staff, we can make optimal use of all raw material qualities.
Stable year round delivery
We handle approx. 65,000 tonnes of berries, fruits and vegetables every year. We buy crop primarily from a large, professional group of Polish, Danish and Chilean growers. Passionate farmers who grow the good crop which is the foundation of our production.
Production at our growers takes place in close dialogue with us to make sure that all legislation is complied with and is according to good manufacturing practice.
Industrial production in Poland, Chile & Denmark
Poland is one of the largest berry producers of Europe. And Chile produces high quality berries at a different time of the year. Having production in both countries makes us able to secure stable, year round delivery of fresh-frozen products.
We produce according to the HACCP principles with our production sites being certified organic, BRC, GlobalGAP, FSSC 22000 - depending on the purpose of the facility. Read more about certifications and quality here.
Orskov Foods in Poland
We bought our first production site in Czaplinek in 1990. The plant handles all types of Polish berries and a variety of vegetables, such as onions, tomatoes and pumpkins. The site produces 25,000 tonnes per year, which is distributed to the European food industry.
In 2004, we extended our production with a facility in Zajezierze. Here, 8,000 tons of berries is processed, and stored before being delivered to Czaplinek for final packing. Our latest facility, Maków, was bought in 2021 and it has a huge IQF freezing and cold storage capacity. Here, we can also blanch products.
Orskov Foods in Chile
Our Chilean factory was built in 2012. Here, approx. 5,000 tons of frozen Chilean fruits and berries are processed and stored every year.
Our plant is located in Talca in the 7th region 'Maule', which has a long tradition of growing high quality fruit, vegetables and berries. Moreover the good infrastructure of this location offers the advantage of quickly securing and cooling raw materials as well as easily dispatching finished products.
Orskov Foods in Denmark
In Denmark, we have production in Oure and in Ørbæk. Oure is our headquarter, where we have 18,000 m² with office, fresh fruit sorting and packing and cold storage facilities.
In Ørbæk, we process Danish and Polish fruits and berries into frozen raw materials and produce purees and pure juices (NFC). We have two flow freezers, 10,000 pallet spaces for frost, 65 storage and mixing tanks, and 1,500,000 L tank capacity.
